Domu Inspiration
My Domu Line is more personal than it may seem on the surface, I wanted to take this space to share with you the why behind each piece, I hope it speaks to you.
The Highland Bench:
Named after my elementary school, this piece captures the quiet ritual of children pulling on snow boots before venturing beyond classroom walls. The rich wood evokes warmth and memory, while the austere form reflects the honest, functional design that shapes young minds. Furniture built not for display, but for the earnest business of growing up.
The Big Grass Plant Stand:
Behind my sister's house lies a vast city-owned field, a rare pocket of green that will never be developed. This unexpected sanctuary has become their gathering place for celebrations, play, and quiet refuge from urban life. I designed this piece with that same spirit: to create a sanctuary within your home, a vessel that brings the restorative power of nature indoors and transforms any space into your own private retreat.
The Sintra Side Table:
While traveling solo through Portugal, I splurged on a hotel instead of a hostel for the first time on the trip. The tranquil luxury of a spacious bed in Sintra, a fairytale city crowned with castles, became a revelation. That sense of serene indulgence, of claiming space for rest and reflection, inspired me to infuse every bedroom I design with that same transformative quiet, turning sleep into sanctuary.
The Gibson Stool:
I love how kitchen islands become the heart of every gathering, where families converge and friends naturally drift. I designed these stools to be as versatile as the moments they'll witness. grounded enough for everyday meals, yet flexible enough for when a friend pulls one over for an impromptu guitar session. They're built to anchor the most important conversations while adapting to life's spontaneous rhythms.
